If your kitchen is so pristinely minimalist it resembles a science lab, the new collection of appliances Dolce & Gabbana designed for Smeg is probably not for you.

The small collection is comprised of a toaster, tea kettle and juicer (available at Neiman Marcus for $600 each), with boldly colored silk screen and lithography on the surfaces.

Most coveted, though, are refrigerators ($50,000 at Neiman Marcus) that have been hand-painted in Italy by artists such as Michele Ducato, Gianfranco Fiore and Michelangelo Lacagnina, with intricate, vibrant scenes of Sicilian life and history.
Here are some of our favorites.
